2. What information we collect
Blogging Banana does not require you to create an account, and we do not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details through the Site itself. The information that is collected falls into two categories:
2.1 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically receive standard log information, including your IP address (often truncated), browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of access. This information is used to operate and secure the Site and to understand aggregate usage patterns.
2.2 Information collected by third parties
Third-party services that run on the Site may collect information directly from your device, typically through cookies and similar technologies. See section 4 for the full list.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
- To measure aggregate traffic and improve content;
- To display relevant advertising through Google AdSense;
- To respond to messages you send us;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and third-party services
The Site uses the following third-party services, each of which may set cookies or receive data from your browser:
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Receives standard server logs.
- Google AdSense — displays advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- ElevenLabs — powers the “Read aloud” narration feature when you press play on a post.
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, consent for advertising and analytics cookies is collected through Google’s certified Consent Management Platform before any non-essential cookies are set.
5. Legal basis for processing (EEA / UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: (a) your consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising; (b) our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the Site; and (c) compliance with legal obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Mexican residents have the right to exercise their ARCO rights (Acceso, Rectificación, Cancelación, Oposición) under the LFPDPPP. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA.
To exercise any of these rights, email ca513zn@gmail.com with the subject line Privacy request.
7. Data retention
We retain server logs for a short period necessary for security and debugging. Third-party services retain data according to their own policies.
8. International data transfers
Because the Site is hosted on global infrastructure and uses third-party services based in the United States and elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Significant changes will be announced on the Site.
